Step 2:Based on your research make a 5 to 10 minute powerpoint presentation. Include the different education qualities, benefits, costs, activities, and community involvement between the different types of schooling. You are encouraged to go beyond what is asked for. If you think something is important, then include it. Remember to use graphics and animation to keep the audience's attention. Also, remember to cover all three possibilities in your presentation. Create and present the powerpoint presentation. Step 3: You will be assigned a child (Matthew, Jennifer, and Scott) by the teacher where you will have to decide which type of learning environment you will put your child in. Use what you and your classmates have presented to support your opinion. You will be asked to debate the different types of schooling for your child. (I understand that not everybody will have the same opinion about each child regarding the type of schooling the majority of the group wants, but you will have to work with the majority. Come and see me if you absolutely cannot work with your group.) Step 4: During
the debate one person will speak at a time. When speaking you can
stay with your group, but you will have to stand. This is so it is
clear that ONE person is talking. I will end the argument's based
on how I feel the debate is going. Also, be prepared to back up your
argument with factual information from your research.
