Task
You are to put yourself in the position
where you are no longer seniors in high school: you are instead parents.
As parents, you will have to choose what kind of education you want for
your child. You will have to choose between a public, private, or home
schooling environment. Based on your research you will give a 5 to 10 minute
presentation. Afterwards, you will take your findings as well as what your
classmates have found to decide which type of schooling is "best for your
child". Descriptions of Matthew,
Jennifer,
and Scott are provided. Among
these three children, you will be put into groups by the teacher where
you will have to decide which type of schooling is best for that child.
Then, you will have a debate with your classmates, using what you have
found.
Based on how well you support
your opinion, you will be given up to 10 possible bonus points to this
